🌿 A Sacred Turning

The Medicine Wheel teaches us that life moves in cycles.

There is no failure in winter.
There is no rush in spring.
There is only rhythm.

The East is the place of illumination —
the direction of Air, breath, vision, and awakening.

During this immersive day, you will learn the directions of the Medicine Wheel and the seasons, elements, and energies that correspond with them, with a special focus on the wisdom of the East.

You will explore:

• The direction of East — Air, awareness, and awakening
• The four quadrants of the Medicine Wheel and how they restore balance
• The center point of the Wheel, where Spirit and Self meet
• How living in alignment with natural rhythms can bring greater clarity and harmony to everyday life

This is not a classroom.

This is remembrance.

🔥 Our Day Together

This immersive day blends teaching, experience, and ceremony as we explore the ancient wisdom of the Medicine Wheel together.

Throughout our time on the land, you will learn the directions of the Medicine Wheel and the seasons, elements, and energies that correspond with each, with a special focus on the wisdom of the East — the place of vision, breath, and new beginnings.

Rather than simply learning about the Wheel, we will walk the Medicine Wheel together, moving through the directions as a lived experience on the land.

During our day you will experience:

🌎 Walking the Medicine Wheel
Learning the teachings of the four directions — their seasons, elements, and the energies they represent in our lives.

🪶 Exploring the Gatekeepers
Exploring the guardians of each direction and how they help us recognize possible blockages or imbalances along our path.

🌬️ Guided meditation
Opening the body and mind to the clarity, awareness, and inspiration of the East.

🌿 Medicine walk on the land
Entering into quiet ceremony with nature as we listen to the wisdom reflected in the forest, water, wind, and earth.

🪶 Personal reflection & nature-based integration
Time to journal, wander, and allow what you are learning to settle into your own life experience.

🔥 Sacred fire circle
Gathering in the round to share, witness, and anchor what has risen during the day.

By the end of the day, the Medicine Wheel will no longer feel like a concept,
it will feel like a living map you can carry into your own life.

We gather at Whispers of Nature Sacred Grove, nestled beside a flowing stream in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The trees listen.

Here, you will not be rushed.

Camping is open Sunday night to those attending the retreat and interested in staying overnight. Bring your camping gear and any food you would like to prepare. Please email Danelle@whispersofnature.com if you are choosing this option.
